It has been almost a year since I conceived of Fundraising University, the consummate online campus and library for students of the art and science of charitable fundraising. I shared it with a few colleagues then to universal interest.
Originally my idea was to raise funds for the venture and to devote myself full time to its creation, but I thought the better of it. Instead I rejoined the fundraising world that I had left almost three years ago to spend more time with my children and to develop an expertise in online marketing.
I currently have a marketing and fundraising consulting business. In between my work for clients, I am developing Fundraising University. The start of any educational institution is a complex one, and the creation of a virtual one comes with its own challenges.
